Turf Starter is for a beautiful and healthy new lawn - from seed or sod. High in phosphorus for dynamic root development.

Formulating and producing high quality fertilizers is both an art and a very exacting science. In simple terms, most fertilizers are comprised of three primary elements - nitrogen, phosphorus and potash - which are referred to in the name of the product.... such as the familiar All Purpose '6-8-6' (6% nitrogen, 8% phosphorus, 6% potash).

Nitrogen is responsible for the energy-making process or chlorophyll cycle - i.e., the "green" in the plant. Phosphorus is the nutrient that promotes a strong root system and is necessary to set fruit and buds for blossoms. Potash is required for disease resistance and winter hardiness.

FEATURES:

• Specially blended fertilizer provides the optimum in well-balanced nutrition for new lawns from seed or sod. 
•  40% of the nitrogen is supplied by long-lasting, slow release polymer coated urea for even feeding to the seed as it germinates, and to the sod as it starts to grow. 
•  High phosphorus content promotes healthy root development - enabling lawns to tolerate stress from heat, drought, weeds and disease.

WHEN TO USE:

• Use EVERGRO Turf Starter on your soil just prior to seeding or laying sod.
•  Apply in late spring or early fall at the rate of 2kg per 100 square meter (1,000 sq. ft.).
• A second application of Turf Starter fertilizer can be made after 2 mowing.
