Our Turf Blendsoil is a compost-based soil blend. Turf Blend consists of approximately 60% compost (Soil Amender) screened through a 3/8” screen and approximately 40% washed river sand. Compost portion produced at temperatures exceeding 55 C to kill weeds and weed seeds.
Turf Blend provides a stable base for new sod or seed installations, and can also be used for topdressing of existing lawns and turf surfaces. Turf Blend is a ready-to-use amended soil.
New Lawns: Spread a 3” to 6” layer of Turf Blend evenly over existing soil. Rake to achieve proper grade. Irrigate. Apply seed or install sod. Irrigate thoroughly to establish roots.
This years order was disappointing. it was 35% wood chips. so spreading the soil was difficult and coverage was poor. as I was raking the soil in. All that was left was wood chips on the surface.

Nice soil
I was hoping that the soil didn’t contain so much bark mulch and it didn’t. It’s very nice soil and I will buy it again maybe 2 bags next time.
